About the park
Save Valley Conservancy is a large private wildlife area in the south-east lowveld, about 70 km by road from Chiredzi or a short charter flight from Harare. It was set up for photographic tourism, but many of its member properties now rely on hunting, and small lodges and camps offer both photographic and hunting safaris. It holds the Big Five, including black and white rhino, and African wild dog. There is no public self-drive access: visitors come as guests of a lodge or safari operator.
