What Campesa is

Campesa is a free map and trip planner for self-drive travel: campsites, national parks, park gates, fuel and supplies, sights, directions and drive times, and tools to plan and share a trip. Arrangements you make with a campsite, park or other business are between you and them, on their terms.

Information on the site

We do our best to make every listing as accurate as possible. That being said, due to the number of listings and the lack of information in some cases, accuracy can't be guaranteed. Verify anything critical to your trip with the campsite or park, and ask campsites to update their listing where needed. Read our disclaimer before you rely on anything here.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over and give a real email address.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Trips you share

• People you invite to a trip can see it and help plan it, including its stops, booking statuses and day notes. Only invite people you trust.
• If you turn on a trip's share link, anyone with the link can see that trip until you turn it off.

Edits, notes and other things you add

• Only suggest edits you believe are true. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or that you don't have the right to share.
• By sending us an edit suggestion you let us use, change and publish it on Campesa, without payment. You keep any rights you had.
• Your private notes stay private and aren't covered by this permission.
• We decide what gets published, and may change or remove anything.

Campsite operators

• Only claim, or add, a campsite you own, manage or are authorised to represent. We may ask for proof.
• A campsite you add stays private until we've reviewed it, and we may edit it or decide not to publish it.
• Keep your facilities, prices and contact details accurate. You're responsible for what you publish about your campsite.
• Ratings and campfire scores are our own opinion and operators can't edit them. If you think one is wrong, email us.
• We may remove a claim, a listing or an operator's access if information is misleading or can't be confirmed.

Our content and the map

The Campesa name, logo, design, ratings and write-ups are ours. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence, and photos belong to the campsites and photographers credited with them; see About and credits. Don't copy our listings in bulk or scrape the site.

Liability

Campesa is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss, injury, cost or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its information, including directions, drive times, travel plans and decisions made on the road. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Continuing to use Campesa after a change means you accept it. Questions: info@campesa.org.
