About the park
Bruno and Kate Nebe bought old farmland in the Otavi Mountains, about 36 km south of Otavi, in 2001 and turned it into a 120 km² reserve explored on foot. Guests stay at a small four-tent bush camp and spend their days walking with a guide, reading tracks, plants and geology as much as looking for animals. Giraffe, zebra, eland, dik-dik and bat-eared fox are seen, leopard, cheetah and hyena live here, and more than 260 bird species are recorded. It suits fit walkers who want to understand the bush, not anyone hoping to tick off big game from a vehicle. There are no game drives: the reserve is walking only.
