A small owner-run campsite beside the railway near Hwange Main Camp, with private or shared ablutions per site. A practical, shady base for day drives into the park.
The Track Shack is a small self-drive campsite on the doorstep of Hwange National Park, laid out right beside the Bulawayo–Victoria Falls railway, so the rumble of a passing train is part of a night here. Pitches sit on red sand under big shade trees, each with its own fire and braai spot, and you can pick a site with its own ablution block or one that shares. It makes an easy base for day drives into the park through Main Camp, with tar road all the way from the main highway, and each site takes a family or group of up to eight. The same owners run The Siding tented camp next door. Bring all your own food and supplies, and note the two-night minimum stay.
