A caravan park attached to a town motel, chosen for convenience on the Kariba road and its pool and bar rather than for wilderness. The riverside trees make it pleasanter than a typical roadside stop.
Orange Grove is a motel run by Chinhoyi University of Technology as a training hotel, and campers stay in the caravan park in its grounds rather than out in the bush. The property runs down to the Muzari River, across from the town centre, with tall indigenous thorn trees left standing between the river and the buildings for shade. Evenings revolve around the pool, the well-stocked bar and a menu that includes Zimbabwean dishes. It sits beside the A1 Harare–Kariba road on tar, a five-minute drive from Chinhoyi Caves, so it suits an overnight stop on the way north. Rates and space for campers should be confirmed with the motel before arriving.
