Bush camp
A single exclusive pitch on its own Zambezi frontage just downstream of Nyamepi, private yet close to the park office.
Park conservation fees are extra, paid at the gate.
A single private riverside pitch that pairs the solitude of an exclusive camp with easy reach of the park office and floodplain walks. Simple and self-sufficient by design.
Nkupe is one site on its own piece of Zambezi frontage a short drive east of Nyamepi, booked by one party at a time. It gives the privacy of the exclusive camps without the long drive: permits, firewood and the floodplain walks around park headquarters are minutes away, yet evenings are spent alone on the bank with hippos in the river and elephants moving through the trees. Like every camp in Mana it is unfenced, so food goes into the vehicle at night. Bring all water and supplies; a high-clearance 4x4 is advised for the gravel roads in, and dry-season dates go early.

All roads in the park are gravel or tracks on clay that turns slippery after rain; a high-clearance 4x4 is strongly advised. No fuel inside the park, so fill up before the escarpment. The park closes to most traffic in the rains.
Collect the entry permit at the ZimParks Marongora office on the A1 Harare–Chirundu road, show it at Chimutsi Gate and sign in again at Nyakasikana Gate, then follow the gravel road down to the Zambezi floodplain.
