A no-frills town campsite whose strength is being able to walk to the Falls, shops and restaurants. Expect town noise and a shared lawn rather than any sense of the bush.
The N1's campsite is a lawn behind a budget hotel on Adam Stander Road, in the busy heart of Victoria Falls town next to the Elephant's Walk shopping and craft centre. Its appeal is location: the Falls entrance is about a kilometre's walk away, and restaurants, activity booking offices, the curio market and supermarkets are all on foot, so the car can stay parked. Campers share the hotel's pool and poolside braai, and the lawn takes everything from small tents to overland vehicles. Being in town it is not a quiet bush camp: neighbouring bars and restaurants can be heard into the evening, and curio sellers are around in busy months.
