Bush camp
One of only two campsites in remote Kazuma Pan, a single-party bush camp looking out over the open Kazuma Depression.
Park conservation fees are extra, paid at the gate.
A raw single-party bush camp overlooking the Kazuma Depression in one of Zimbabwe's least visited parks. Big skies and game at the waterpoint make up for the absence of anything else.
Insiza is one of just two campsites in Kazuma Pan, a remote grassland park on the Botswana border that few people visit, and only one party camps here at a time. The camp looks out over the Kazuma Depression and the western pans, where a pumped waterpoint pulls in elephants and buffalo towards dusk, while roan, tsessebe, eland and wildebeest graze the open grass by day. Nights are dark and very quiet, with no other camp in sight. Reaching it takes a 4x4 on rough tracks via Pandamatenga or the newer road from the Victoria Falls side, and you must report to the park office first. The camp is a raw, unfenced clearing with almost nothing laid on, so bring all food, fuel and drinking water.

4x4 only: rough, stony and sandy tracks, with black clay that turns to mud in the rains. Allow about four hours from Victoria Falls via Matetsi and Pandamatenga. You must first report to the park office, which can mean a detour of about 50 km.
From Victoria Falls take the Bulawayo road to the Pandamatenga/Robins turn-off and follow the gravel road through Matetsi to the Pandamatenga border post, then the border road north-west into the park; a newer road leaving the Bulawayo road past Victoria Falls airport also reaches the park office. Report to the park office before going to camp. Access via Kazungula is not allowed.
