Campsite
Bush camping in the one drivable corner of Chimanimani National Park, by the Muhohwa River and falls near Chikukwa.
Park conservation fees are extra, paid at the gate.
A quieter, drive-in alternative to the high Chimanimani, built around the Muhohwa River's pools and falls. Undeveloped, remote and best for self-sufficient 4x4 campers.
The Corner is the north-eastern lobe of Chimanimani National Park beside Chikukwa village, and the only part of the park you can drive into; everywhere else is reached on foot. It suits people who want the Chimanimani's water and forest without the hard climb from Mutekeswane: the Muhohwa River has cool pools to swim in, there is a picnic spot at the foot of Muhohwa Falls, and short walks lead through forest known for endemic plants, birds and insects. It lies about 35 km from Chimanimani village, through Martin Forest on rough unpaved roads, and a low-range 4x4 is the sensible vehicle. This is an undeveloped site, so arrive self-sufficient, pay your fees at the parks office in the village first, and keep well back from the river in the rains, when flash floods come quickly.

Unpaved and rough; a low-range 4x4 is advised for the remote Corner area, especially after rain.
From Chimanimani village pay fees at the ZimParks office, then head north through Martin Forest towards Chikukwa village; The Corner lies in the park's north-east corner beside Chikukwa, about 35 km from the village.
