Campsite
Ngezi's developed ZimParks caravan site near the park entrance, a base for fishing Lake Ngezi below the Great Dyke.
Park conservation fees are extra, paid at the gate.
The more comfortable of Ngezi's camping options, with shared ablutions, as a base for fishing a quiet Highveld lake. Dated ZimParks facilities and weekend crowds from the nearby mine are the trade-offs.
The caravan site is the one developed camping area at Ngezi, a small ZimParks recreational park built around a 1945 dam on the eastern side of the Great Dyke, and it sits close to the entrance rather than out on the lakeshore points. Days revolve around the lake, casting for bass, bream and tigerfish from the bank or a boat, and after dark hippos can be heard in the water while waterbuck and vervet monkeys move about by day. Weekends bring staff from the nearby platinum mine out to fish and braai, so it is busier then and quiet midweek. The mine's tarred road from Selous and a stretch of gravel make it reachable in an ordinary car. Infrastructure is dated and the gate shuts at 6pm, so arrive in daylight with supplies.

Tarred and well kept as far as Ngezi Mine, then gravel with several turns; heavy mine trucks use these roads on weekdays. Reachable in an ordinary car, with care in the wet season. Gate open 06:00 to 18:00, every day of the year.
From Harare take the Harare–Bulawayo road (A5) to Selous, about 71 km out. Just past Selous turn left at the roundabout towards Ngezi Mine, follow the tarred mine road for about 66 km to the mine, take the signed gravel detour around it and turn left for the park; the entrance is about 96 km from the A5 turn-off. A second route runs from Featherstone on the Harare–Masvingo road (A4), about 105 km. The caravan site is about 1 km inside the entrance.
