Campsite
Small, little-used park campsite on Mezilume Dam off Circular Drive, west of Maleme and near Nswatugi Cave.
A small, rarely used park camp on a dam in the western Matobo hills, close to the Nswatugi rock art. Its upkeep is uncertain, so only fully self-sufficient campers should plan on it.
Mezilume is one of Matobo's smaller park camps, on the bank of a dam just off Circular Drive a few kilometres west of Maleme, in the same country of bare granite domes and balancing rocks as the rest of the park. It sees far fewer visitors than the main camp, and the painted cave at Nswatugi is only about two kilometres away, so it makes a handy base for the western side of the park and the game area. Facilities are basic and their upkeep has been uncertain; it is often used as a picnic stop rather than an overnight camp. Come fully self-sufficient with all water and firewood, and check with the park office at Maleme before planning a night here.

Gravel park road; the stretch past Maleme towards Nswatugi has been reported in poor condition, so ask at the gate.
On Circular Drive about 4 km west-north-west of Maleme Dam, Matobo National Park; reach the park from Bulawayo on the Matopos Road (about 30 km to the park boundary), then continue past Maleme towards Nswatugi Cave.
