About
Roy's is a plain, self-catering riverside camp on the Kafue right by the Hook Bridge, where the main Lusaka to Mongu road crosses the river, with Kafue National Park on the opposite bank. Hippos call from the river below the pitches, crocodiles bask on the shore and elephants are often seen on the far side. Being a few minutes off the tar, it works both as an overnight stop on the long M9 and as a base for game drives into central Kafue. Facilities are basic, so come self-sufficient and book ahead.
