About
Eureka is a camping park on a private game farm about 10 km south of Lusaka on the Kafue Road, and its draw is that giraffe and zebra wander right through the camp, sometimes strolling past at breakfast, while the city's shops are a quarter of an hour away. Tents go up on grassy lawns under big shade trees, and you can walk into the game area to look for impala and the farm's birdlife; keep food away from the monkeys. Evenings gather at the large thatched bar and the shared braai area, and the pool fills hot afternoons. It is a regular stop for overland trucks, so it can be busy and lively at night: a sociable stopover rather than a quiet bush camp.
