A large government-run campground on the slopes of the Waterberg Plateau, inside the park. It is a good base for walks up towards the cliffs.
Waterberg's campground is part of the NWR resort on the lower slopes of the Waterberg Plateau, inside the park and about 68 km east of Otjiwarongo. With 40 sites of up to eight people each it is a sizeable camp, and the resort's restaurant, bar and shop are a short walk away. Walking trails lead from the resort up towards the plateau cliffs. Park entry is paid on top of the camping fee, and bookings are by email to NWR while its online system is down.

Tarred C22 followed by about 18 km of gravel on the D2512.
The resort is inside Waterberg Plateau Park, about 68 km east of Otjiwarongo. Take the tarred C22 east from the B1, then the gravel D2512 for roughly 18 km to the resort.
