A small, tidy campground on a southern Namibian farm with a bar at the camp and the lodge restaurant close by. It is a quiet base for the Fish River Canyon.
The campground sits on the edge of a dry pan on Vogelstrausskluft farm, about 25 km south of the Keetmanshoop to Luderitz road and roughly 19 km from the nearest point of the Fish River Canyon. There are only four sites, but each can take up to ten tents around its own fireplace, so it suits overland trucks and groups as well as couples. Meals are served at the farm's lodge, about five minutes' walk away. Fuel is about 60 km off, so fill up before turning south.
