Three secluded sites under acacias in a private desert reserve north of Solitaire, overlooking a camelthorn valley and dunes.
Three secluded sites in a private desert reserve, with dune views and deep quiet. A beautiful alternative to camping near Sesriem, if you accept the slow private track in.
Tsondab Valley is a private scenic reserve on the edge of the Namib-Naukluft, reached by an 18 km private track from a gate 9 km north of Solitaire. There are just three campsites, each sheltered under acacia trees and looking over a camelthorn valley towards the dunes, and the open-air showers are built into caves in the limestone below the farmhouse. Campers can join the hosts at the lodge bar or pool and book dune drives. It is remote and small, so it suits travellers after quiet more than convenience.
