Swakopmund's beach campsite, at the Swakop River mouth on the southern edge of town and only metres from the Atlantic. Gravel stands are individually screened and partly shaded, arranged around a communal lawn, and the Tiger Reef beach bar next door is a popular sundowner spot. Central Swakopmund and the jetty are within walking distance, and the camp has round-the-clock security. Expect the coastal fog and wind typical of Swakopmund, and book ahead in the holiday season.
