The campsite lies inside the small Daan Viljoen Game Park in the Khomas Hochland hills, about 20 km west of Windhoek on the tarred C28, with pitches on a grassed terrace beside the Augeigas Dam. With no large predators in the park, you can walk the marked hiking trails among giraffe, zebra, oryx and wildebeest, and the birding is good. Seven luxury sites have their own ablutions and kitchenette and twelve standard sites share a block. It makes an easy first or last night of a Namibia trip, close to the airport road but away from the city.
