About
A family-owned farm on the edge of the Khomas escarpment, among granite boulders and mountain scenery about two hours' drive from Windhoek on the route to Sossusvlei via Solitaire. Campers choose between luxury sites, each with its own bathroom, kitchenette, braai and high shade suited to rooftop tents, and the simpler Miernes sites with shared ablutions and mountain views, including a group site for eight or more. The farm has a 7 km hiking trail, a self-drive farm route and its own craft brewery, so it works as more than a one-night stop. Bring firewood.
