The draw is location: right at Sesriem gate for an early start to the dunes, with fuel and a shop next door. Sites are private and self-contained around a pool rather than out in the desert.
About
Sossus Oasis sits opposite the Sesriem entrance to the Namib-Naukluft park, so campers can be at the gate as it opens for sunrise on the Sossusvlei dunes. The 18 individual sites are arranged around a swimming pool, each self-contained with its own bathroom and wash-up area, while cheaper group sites share facilities. A fuel station, tyre workshop and shop are right next door. Rates include VAT and assume at least two adults per site.
