A friendly family-run camp a short drive from Swakopmund that avoids most of the coastal fog. Private, hedged pitches and the owner's butchery and restaurant give it a distinct character.
A German family-run camp in the green Swakop River plots, 12 km inland and usually above the fog that hangs over Swakopmund, especially from May to October. Pitches are hedged by bushes and trees for a private, garden feel, and some at the back look out over the moon landscape. The owner is a master butcher, so the restaurant and shop are known for home-made sausages, game dishes and vacuum-packed braai meat for the road. No credit cards are accepted.
