Not a campsite: Serra Cafema is an all-inclusive Wilderness lodge of eight raised suites of wood, canvas and thatch on the Kunene River, which forms the border with Angola, facing the dunes and mountains of Hartmann's Valley. Guests arrive by light aircraft and stay on a fully inclusive basis, with guided drives, walks, quad biking on the dunes, seasonal boating on the river and visits to Himba families of the Marienfluss Conservancy. There are no pitches and self-drive campers are not catered for; the nearest camping is in the Marienfluss, a long 4x4 drive away.
