Small riverbank camp on the Okavango west of Rundu, facing Angola, with its own pontoon boats for sunset and breakfast cruises.

A quiet, owner-run riverbank camp on the Okavango just west of Rundu, where the draw is sunset on the water and boat trips from camp. Close enough to town for supplies but feels well away from it.
About
Samsitu's grassy pitches sit right on the bank of the Okavango in the Sikondo area west of Rundu, looking across the water to Angola, with dense riverine bush between them that keeps each site private. Evenings are usually calm: campers watch the sun drop over the river from their own site while sunset cruise boats pass by. The owners run pontoon cruises from camp for breakfast, sunset or a full day upriver, and a small boat can be hired for fishing and birding along the floodplain. The Mbunza Living Museum, where Kavango crafts and village life are shown, is a few hundred metres away. Rundu and its shops are about 13 km off, and the camp also takes groups of up to 30. Cruises run on request with minimum numbers, so arrange them when you book.
