About
OraBo stands on the Namibian bank of the Orange River inside the 200,000-acre Sandfontein Nature Reserve, on the site of an old Italian mission station, with wide river views backed by rugged desert mountains. Tents and motorhomes use designated spots spread around the small village, which also has a few self-catering guest houses. It is remote, reached off the D292 in the far south of the Karas region, and the owners recommend a 4x4. Fishing is included in the rate; game drives, canoeing and guided trails cost extra.
