About
The campground sits on the hillside below Opuwo Country Lodge, about 1 km from town, looking out over the valleys of Kaokoland towards the sunset. It is the usual last comfortable night before heading into the remote north-west, and campers can walk up to the lodge's pool, bar and restaurant, which also arranges Himba village visits and Epupa Falls trips. The fenced sites are some way below the main building, so it stays fairly quiet, though natural shade is sparse.
