A small, quiet riverside camp on the Kunene just downstream of Ruacana Falls, shaded by huge trees and run off-grid. Guided hikes and Himba village visits give a reason to stay a second night.
The five pitches sit in deep shade under a stand of huge omunjandi trees on the Namibian bank of the Kunene, with Angola on the far side of the water and plenty of river birdlife around camp. The place runs off-grid and keeps things simple and quiet, and evenings can end with a booked dinner at the restaurant or a booked sundowner trip. The hosts guide a day hike on the Oiva trail and visits to a nearby Himba village, both best fitted into a stay of two nights or more, and the river suits anglers. Ruacana Falls is about 9 km back along the riverside road; Ruacana is the last fuel stop heading west.

Heavy rains in early 2025 badly damaged the river road further west towards Swartbooisdrift and Epupa, so ask about conditions before continuing past the camp.
From Ruacana follow the road west past Ruacana Falls along the Kunene; the camp is on the riverbank about 9 km by road beyond the falls.
