Omega is a small family farm camp rather than a resort: four pitches close together near the homestead of a 7,000 hectare livestock and game farm on the D2512 gravel road. The hosts take guests on farm drives that explain how cattle and game are run side by side, and eland, Africa's largest antelope, roam the property along with plenty of birds. Expect a personal, sociable welcome and quiet bush nights rather than lodge comforts. It works as a peaceful stop on the back roads between the Waterberg Plateau and Grootfontein; there is no restaurant, so arrive stocked up.
