A simple, relaxed overnight camp on the remote roads between Opuwo, Ruacana and Okahao. Handy for breaking a long drive, but plan on being self-sufficient for food and supplies.
About
A small, down-to-earth campsite at Omakange in the dry north-west, roughly 60 km east of Opuwo, 110 km south of Ruacana and 90 km west of Okahao. Fuel is close by, but food and reliable supplies are nearly 50 km away, so arrive stocked up. It suits travellers breaking the drive between the Kunene, Ruacana and the Owambo towns rather than a long stay. The camp has a bar, and bookings are by phone.
