Okarundu is a camping and rest camp in the Otjimbingwe communal area of the Erongo Region, about 50 km south of Karibib, approved by the local traditional authority and the tourism board. It serves both travellers and people from the surrounding area, and some weekends it hosts music events, so it can be lively. It is remote, more than 55 km from fuel and shops; phone ahead for directions and to check what is on.
