Little Hunter's Rest: five widely spaced sites plus a group site under camelthorn trees where the Tiras Mountains meet the Namib.

About
Little Hunter's Rest is the campground of the Namtib Biosphere Reserve, a private reserve in the Tiras Mountains bordering the Namib-Naukluft Park. Five single sites are spread well apart under camelthorn trees, with one larger group site, and facilities are basic. The nights are very dark and star-filled, and the reserve has unguided hiking trails and guided nature drives. It is remote, about 60 km from fuel and shops, and fits a southern route between Fish River Canyon or Lüderitz and Sossusvlei.

Getting there
Gravel mountain road with corrugations and potholes (traveller report from 2016, so check current conditions).
Namtib sits on the scenic D707 through the Tiras Mountains, roughly 47 km along that road from its junction with the C13, on the route between Aus or Lüderitz and Sossusvlei. Check in at the farm reception first; the Little Hunter's Rest campsite is reached from there.
