Campsite
Bare riverside pitches on the Kwando inside Mudumu National Park, with hippos and elephants close by and nothing laid on.
A handful of open, grassy clearings on the bank of the Kwando River in Mudumu National Park, spread out along the water so each party has the view and the river sounds to itself. Wildlife moves freely through the unfenced park, so hippos, elephants and baboons can be right beside camp. There is nothing here: bring water, food, fuel and firewood, and expect sandy park tracks that need a 4x4. Suits self-sufficient campers who want a wild river camp rather than comfort.

Park tracks are very sandy; a 4x4 is needed.
From Kongola take the signposted gravel road south towards Mudumu; the park office at Nakatwa is about 42 km from Kongola, then a short track of about 4 km leads to the river.
