A peaceful riverside camp on the Kavango east of Rundu, with shady pitches and some river views. Boat trips and birding make it a good stopover on the long road east.
Mukuku sits on the bank of the Kavango River at Mupapama, roughly 60 km east of Rundu, in a green garden shaded by large trees. Its six campsites each take up to four people with a rooftop or ground tent, and several look straight onto the river; one smaller site suits ground tents only. A jetty over the water, boat cruises, fishing and birding make it worth more than a single night on the long drive between Etosha and the Zambezi Region.
