A plain seasonal fishing camp on the Dorob coast that comes alive over the December-January holidays. Best for self-sufficient anglers rather than travellers seeking scenery or comfort.
Mile 72 is a basic state-run camp on the open Atlantic shore of Dorob National Park, used mainly by shore anglers during the summer holidays. The 15 pitches lie on bare gravel flats with no trees, near a small cluster of buildings and a water tower. It opens only in December and January, so check dates before planning a trip. Bring drinking water and power supplies.
