Mile 108 is a big state-run camp strung along a bare gravel shoreline on the Atlantic coast north of Henties Bay, chosen mainly by anglers for its direct beach access. Pitches range from basic sites to self-contained ones with their own screened toilet and shower, plus sites with private ablutions. The setting is stark, with no trees or natural shelter. Bring drinking water and power supplies, and book early for the December holidays, when demand peaks.
