A small campsite in the grounds of a roadside lodge just outside Keetmanshoop, best used as an overnight stop on the B1. Convenient rather than scenic, with the lodge's restaurant and pool on hand.
Four camping pitches sit in the grounds of Maritz Country Lodge, a bungalow lodge with palms and lawns right on the B1 about 5 km south of Keetmanshoop. It is a practical overnight halt rather than a destination: tar road all the way, a filling station next door, and the Quiver Tree Forest and Fish River Canyon within a day's drive. Expect traffic noise from the national road and book ahead given the small number of pitches.
