A rustic camp on a permanent channel of the Kwando River, a few minutes from Mudumu National Park. It suits self-sufficient campers who want a quiet riverside spot.
Malyo lies on the bank of a permanent channel of the Kwando River, between open water and grassy floodplain, a few minutes' drive from Mudumu National Park. It is a simple, quiet camp: the track leaves the C49 about 28 km south of Kongola and crosses a backwater on a mopane log bridge, and an ordinary car manages outside the rains (November to mid-April) although a 4x4 is better. There is no refrigeration and generators are discouraged at night. Lizauli Traditional Village is just to the north.

Reviews are campers' own opinions, not Campesa's. They don't change the campfire score.
Normal vehicle is fine outside the rainy season (Nov to mid-April) but a 4x4 is preferred; the mopane log bridge is limited to 4 tons and 5 km/h.
Turn off the C49 gravel road about 28 km south of Kongola at the signboard, follow the sub-road about 3 km and cross the mopane log bridge about 2.4 km from the turn-off.
