Leadwood Umbretta is a secluded single-group camp set among Erongo granite on Ameib, reached only by 4x4. It trades the main camp's amenities for privacy and dramatic rock scenery.
An exclusive site hidden among huge rounded granite boulders and shaded by large Ana and Acacia trees, about 3 km from Ameib Guesthouse on the southern side of the Erongo Mountains. It takes a single party of up to eight people in two vehicles, with its own shower and toilet. The track in is for 4x4s only and trailers cannot get through. The fee includes access to Ameib's rock-art and rock-formation sites such as Phillips Cave and Bull's Party.
