Lakeside resort in a 6,200 ha game reserve near Rehoboth, with camp sites on the shore of the Oanob dam under the hills.
Camp sites are spread along the shore of a dam lake and through bush inside a large private reserve south of Windhoek. The setting is the draw, with hills around the water and activities on the lake.
Lake Oanob's 32 camp sites are spread partly along the shore of the dam and partly in the bush of a hilly private game reserve, reached on 3 to 7 km of gravel off the B1 near Rehoboth. Waterfront sites cost more and the best have thatched shade; inland sites range from shaded to fully open. Two remote bays 8 km away offer simple sites with an open-air shower and no power. Weekends and holidays bring boats and day visitors, and a gate fee is paid on arrival.
