A modest private camp on the Kunene just west of Ruacana, valued for its quiet and its river view. It suits travellers starting or ending the river road to Epupa who want a calm, simple night.
A small private camp on the Namibian bank of the Kunene a short drive west of Ruacana, owned by Derek Brune and looked after by a caretaker on site. Pitches look out over the river, and the draw is the quiet: birding along the water by day and a sky full of stars at night, with little traffic now that the main road runs slightly inland. Visitors tend to describe it as tidy and peaceful rather than polished. It makes an easy first or last night on the D3700 river road between Ruacana and Epupa. Shops and fuel are back in Ruacana, so arrive stocked.

Gravel; the D3700 has been upgraded and moved slightly inland, but dips at dry riverbeds need care and crossings can flow after rain (December to April).
From Ruacana head west on the D3700 gravel road along the Kunene towards Epupa; the camp is on the river side of the road, beside the old track that the main road now bypasses slightly inland.
