Six secluded pitches under camelthorn trees above the Khaudum omuramba, in the remote north of an unfenced elephant park.
A remote, unfenced camp above the Khaudum omuramba in one of Namibia's wildest parks, reached only by deep-sand 4x4 tracks. It suits experienced, self-sufficient overlanders travelling in convoy.
Khaudum Camp lies in the far north of Khaudum National Park, a vast, unfenced stretch of Kalahari sand woodland where elephants and African wild dogs roam freely. The six sites are spread under camelthorn trees on a rise above the Khaudum omuramba, a broad fossil river valley where game gathers. Getting there is the adventure: the park admits only 4x4s, at least two vehicles per party, and the 55 km of deep sand in from the B8 takes around four hours. There is no fuel or shop anywhere in the park, so arrive fully self-sufficient and with a confirmed booking.

Deep, loose sand on every park track: 4x4 only, with at least two vehicles per party. Drop tyre pressures, allow about four hours for the 55 km from the B8, and carry all fuel and water; the nearest fuel is at Divundu (about 150 km) or Rundu (about 170 km).
Leave the B8 at the Katere turn-off, about 114 km east of Rundu or 87 km west of Divundu, then follow the deep-sand track roughly 55 km south to the camp, registering at Khaudum Gate on the way in.
