About
The campsite belongs to Kanaan N/a'an ku se Desert Retreat, a large private conservation reserve on former farmland where the Tiras Mountains meet open grassland and red Namib dunes. Pitches sit apart from the tented lodge, with views over the plains, deep silence and a big night sky. The lodge runs sundowner drives to the dunes, and oryx, springbok, ostrich and meerkats live on the reserve. Getting there means a long gravel drive on the D707, so allow plenty of time; there is no electricity at the pitches.
