The three pitches sit under big Mangetti trees beside the Living Museum of the Ju/'Hoansi at Grashoek, a traditional San village run by the community since 2004. Staying here lets you join the museum's programmes on hunting, crafts, song and bushcraft with a translating guide, and the fees go straight to the community. It is about 7 km north of the C44 in deep Kalahari sand, more than 120 km from fuel, so come self-sufficient and expect a simple, quiet stay.
