Small privately run campsite near Puros village in remote north-western Kaokoland, a base for the desert-elephant country of the Hoarusib.
A small campsite on the edge of Puros, one of the most remote settlements in Namibia's north-west. It is a simple stop for self-sufficient 4x4 travellers exploring the desert-elephant country of the Hoarusib.
A small, locally run campsite on the outskirts of Puros in the Puros Conservancy, in the arid far north-west near the Hoarusib River, where elephants, giraffe and zebra roam. Puros lies about 107 km north-west of Sesfontein on the D3707, and the final approach is deep sand that needs a 4x4. There is little in the way of supplies in Puros, so arrive self-sufficient with fuel and water, and phone ahead.
