Grünau Country Hotel is a practical overnight stop for campers on the main road between South Africa and central Namibia. Its handful of sites rely on the hotel for meals, drinks and a swim rather than on scenery.
Six caravan and tent sites at a village hotel on the old main road through Grünau, the junction town on the routes between the Orange River border posts and the rest of Namibia. The setting is plain southern Namibian semi-desert rather than scenery, but the hotel's restaurant, bar and pool make it an easy overnight stop. Campers share a bathroom block with the glamping rooms. The Fish River Canyon is about 90 km away and day tours run from the hotel.
