Gross Barmen Resort
Hot-spring resort near Okahandja run by NWR, with campsites among palms and lawns beside thermal and Olympic pools
- 4.2
- N$240 pp/night
A busy, well-kept hot-spring resort that makes a comfortable first or last night near Windhoek. Campers get the pools and spa, at the cost of resort crowds rather than wilderness.
About
A state-run spa resort on a tributary of the Swakop River, where mineral water rises hot from deep underground and is cooled for the thermal pool. The grounds are planted with rows of palms and lawns, with rocky hills around and pleasant walks from the camp. It is an easy first or last night out of Windhoek and suits families who want pools, a restaurant and a spa on hand. Day visitors also use the pools, and the indoor pool was closed for repairs in late 2026.
