About
Ganab is a tiny, unmanned park campsite on the open plains of the northern Namib-Naukluft, where a dry watercourse lined with big camelthorn trees gives the only shade for miles. The draw is silence, enormous skies and desert wildlife: gemsbok, springbok, zebra and ostrich cross the plains, and a pumped waterhole a couple of kilometres away pulls in game. There is nothing here but a few basic sites, so bring all water, food and firewood, and sort out your park permit before you go.
