About

Tiras is a 12,000 ha cattle farm on a high plain between the Rooirand escarpment and the Tiras Mountains, about 45 km from Helmeringhausen and 65 km from Aus, a natural overnight stop on the way to Lüderitz. Its few campsites sit on the side of a rocky koppie facing west towards the Namib, among quiver trees. Guests can climb to nearby viewpoints, look for rock paintings and potsherds, or arrange dune drives on the neighbouring farm, and the clear skies suit stargazing.
