Campsite
Eight riverfront campsites under palms and figs on the Kunene, an easy 800 m walk from Epupa Falls.
A riverside camp on the Kunene a short walk from Epupa Falls, with every site facing the water. It is remote, at the end of a long gravel road from Opuwo.
Epupa Camp sits on the southern bank of the Kunene River among makalani palms, wild figs and baobabs, about 800 m from Epupa Falls along the river. All eight sites face the water under indigenous trees, and each is big enough for ten people with five vehicles. Getting there means about 180 km of gravel from Opuwo, roughly three hours, with dry riverbeds and livestock on the road; a 4x4 is advised, especially in the rains. Fuel is almost 50 km away, so come stocked up.
