An NWR campsite alongside the early-1900s Duwisib Castle, long used as a stopover on the way south from Sesriem. NWR says the resort has been closed since 2022 until further notice, so it should be checked before any visit.
The campsite lies beside Duwisib Castle, a red sandstone castle built in the early 1900s in the dry hills south-west of Maltahöhe, and its shaded pitches made it a classic stop between Sesriem and the south. NWR has said the resort has been closed to visitors since 2022 and stays shut until further notice, so check with NWR in writing before planning a night here. The private Duwisib Guest Farm nearby runs its own campsites.
