A boulder-ringed campsite in the Twyfelfontein valley, well placed for the rock engravings and desert elephant drives. Shaded pitches, a bar and a splash pool make it a comfortable base in hot Damaraland.
About
A camping-only site in the Twyfelfontein valley of Damaraland, with pitches tucked between huge boulders a short drive from the World Heritage rock-art site. Each pitch is shaded and has its own fireplace, and there are larger group sites for parties of up to 20. A small bar and splash pool give some relief from the heat, and guided drives to look for desert-adapted elephants can be arranged. It suits self-drive travellers exploring the Twyfelfontein area.
